What type of patch cables is everyone using for their pedals?

Curious what brand/connectors people are using for their boards.

I'm on the hunt for some good quality patch cables to replace the cheapo multi-coloured ones that are currently on my board. I'm in Canada and having a hard time finding bulk cabling with connectors... Was thinking Mogami 2524 + Neutrik ends, any suggestions?

Dude, they are like a weeks wages for enough to do my pedal board. Note less gratuitous misuse of "like" and repent.

They are quite like the ones I make out of guitar cable and jacks for 4 dollars each.

I use the George Ls. Not that I would recommend them them but it's what I use

I was buying expensive 6" cables, then one day I picked up one of the $5 live wire patch cables and with my board of 9 pedals, it sounded the same. So I've been using whatever cables are around as long as they are reliable, only once did a cheap cable sound "bad"- it attenuated the treble.

I like George L's but most fairly inexpensive cables would be fine. Very little wear and tear on pedalboard cables as they are generally pretty stationary/secure.

I bought a 3 pack of Guitar Centre 6" cables when I was last in the US and they are great for under $20 for 3... And they have lifetime warranty.

I wouldn't go crazy with high end Mogami or Monster for a pedal board (or for any cable generally). YMMV.

I also use the Hosa flatheads, they are the most low-profile plug I have ever found. But I just get them for the plugs because their solder joints are a bit dodgy. I then rewire them to exact lengths with the George L cable from the local guitar shop. They are also less than half the price compared to the Switchcraft 228 and slimmer.

Me too. I've had two go bad in 5 years, and they're like $1.50 apiece.

Wow those Hosa cables are certainly affordable! I was expecting to have to pay $100-$200 to fully rewire my board(s). I fluctuate between 8-10 pedals so its getting a bit large but not completely out of control...yet.

Any issues with those Hosa cables not fitting certain pedals? There's a few Amazon complaints of them not fitting properly but I cant see how that would happen.

Hate the george L's. had too many fail. (yes the user, myself first, is the main liability when making them).
