I use Lava solderless cable kits. Not because they are better sounding, not because of any mysterious cable mojo. Simply because the plugs are so small and it lets me fit way more pedals on my board.
I have two solder-less clear connect II cables from lava (I got them JUST because I got them for extremely c heap because the store had messed up my order), one for between my amp and pedalboard, one for between my bass and board. I have stopped using one because it is starting to have some noise and I just retired the other into spare duty.
I would never use solder-less for cables that will move and have some strain on them. But, for my board, they work great and are hard to beat for space saving especially if you have pedals where the jacks are very close together. When I had a PT-2, there was no way I could have fit everything I had on there with other types of cables.
