1970's Rickenbacker 4001 Stereo bass. Maroon Red 4 string with White pick guard... and I STILL have her!!!
I learned on a school owned Hondo, and bought a headless Cort Steinberger copy. Thick neck, high action, beat to death strings, scratchy electronics and thought that thing was awesome. For graduation I got a Foundation.
Mine was an 82-ish Cort P copy in sunburst, purchased new with money saved from from an after-school job. Only owned it for about two years before I sold it to fund another purchase. GAS started young.
Warwick RockBass Corvette in blue, 2004. It's an awesome bass, I was a very lucky (spoiled) kid. I still play it a lot to this day.

Silvertone revolver p copy black with black pg. from a few years ago. Completely dismantled, some parts are on my other basses. Reduce, reuse, recycle anyone? 
My first bass received Christmass day 1964 was a (Supro) Airline Pocket Bass. It looked like this one except it had a raised white plastic script Airline headstock logo. Kind of a cool 30" bass. Light and had a bit of neck dive. Fit and finish was what it was. Tuners were the real weak link. Sound was close to a Gibson EB0 (fat but not as muddy). I always thought the clear plastic thumb rest / tug bar were unique and looked good.

Squier Affinity J bass. Still have it, though the only original part left is the body. Still have all the parts
1977-ish Japanese Hohner Lawsuit Jazz Bass Copy. I put some black tape wounds on it. Traded it towards a Fender P-bass and regret not keeping it to this day.
Around 1980 I saved enough to purchase a Hondo II Ric 4001 copy from my local music store for $160. It was maple on maple with bolt on neck. Looked good and played well from what I can remember. But what the Hell did I know back then! I kept it until about 15 years ago when I got sick of dragging it around. It was beat to Hell after sitting around for years and sitting in a hot attic. The only thing I have left are the knobs. The rest went in the trash. If I knew it would be worth something, I would have held onto it. Live and learn.
A couple of years ago after wanting to play the electric bass for a long time, I decided to use all the money I'd saved up just after my birthday and bought a 1981 all original Black Tokai Hard Puncher imported from Japan on impulse.
At the time I didn't know much about basses but I knew that I thought it looked fantastic and in great condition considering it's age. One of the best decisions I've ever made and it's still my most favored bass.

First real bass was a early 80s Cort that looked exactly like a Geddy Lee Jazz. My first "good" bass was a 1978 Olympic White Fender Precision with a baseball bat like neck with a rosewood board. The Cort sounded better. That P bass, as much as I wish I still had it for nostalgic reasons, was the worst sounding P bass I've ever owned, but is probably worth about $3000 now.
Coolest bass in this entire thread.1960 EBO bought in '64 for $40. I added the '68 Tele pup and switch in '73, Hipshots last year. Haven't decided if it's a keeper
Gibson G3. Weighed about 41,000 lbs. Played it on stage for about 3 years. Sounded like mud and felt like an anvil.
