What was your first bass guitar?

1984 Fender Precision, bought used in 1989. Brown sunburst, white pickguard and pickup, maple fretboard. Its serial number started with an E, so it was either a MIA or MIJ, but I don't remember the digits, so its place of origin probably will always be a mystery. I sold it a few years ago to pay bills, and have missed it ever since. :(
 
I think it was a St. George or a Ventura, but it only cost $50 (which was a lot in 1969). Here is a picture of me playing it along with my Guitar player (probably playing 'Sunshine of Your Love' 'One Way Out' or 'I Don't Need No Doctor'. I did put Schaller machine heads on it but the screw holes didn't line up making an even more funky bass. LOL.
