What you getting your Mrs for Christmas?

In my case she says she wants nothing since we had our second baby girl in April and picked up a new house this year as well.

However I can't do that so we are keeping it really minor.

I picked gift certificates for a couple massages and since we are beach people some earrings from this cool Hawaiian Jewelry place

I think I'm getting my wife a Pandora bracelet. . . she's expressed some interest in one. She's obsessed w/ p/j's so they are a staple and some other little doodads.

ya know what really is annoying. I hate telling people what to get for me. It's a gift, i'm not supposed to tell you! But my friends and fam complain i'm too hard (and get pretty pissed about it) every year I plead for them to get me gift certificates to MF and every year they say "NO, that's your job, I dont want to get you something you need, you want to get you something you want!" It's amazing to me the people closest to me in my life don't get it ... (EVEN after I return their gifts and go buy gear . . .) /rant, I actually am very blessed w/ an amazing fam and friends so I shouldnt complain :D

Currently I'm checking out a Dooney & Bourke "Giraffe" handbag that she has shown interest in ... also a Ferragamo "Kelly" handbag.

TIP: Pay attention to a couple of things your wife has shown interest in, but is reluctant to drop the coin on ... a gift that shows you are paying attention will pay off in spades ... OR in my case, bass GAS. ;) :D

Ive been slick...one night a few weeks ago I was working on the laptop while the wife switched on QVC. She saw some perfume/shower gel stuff she said she liked and I hopped onto qvc.com and ordered it while we were sitting there. I also took note when she said she liked this iPad case at the mall that matches her purse. So I think I am ordering one more thing, a sweater she mentioned she liked, and she is done. I bought my own present this year...a Markbass Distosore pedal (that Im contemplating sending back for something different)

My buddy is a really talented painter. He's agreed to commission a painting for me that portrays her surfing with my son and I. He's starting to work on that, but in the meantime he's also giving me another painting to give to her on christmas day. This is a dude that's routinely sells paintings for 15-20k. I'm really stoked to have a couple of his paintings in my house.

Her birthday, our anniversary and Xmas are all within a week of each other, so it's a fair bundle: Rockbass Streamer 5 (her choice, so she knows about that one), a nice strap, a little pendant/necklace thing, perfume, an airbrush set, and a bunch of random silliness. Plus, some little piece of spit stole the centre caps from the wheels on her much-loved car a while ago so I'm machining up a custom set and engraving a design of her choice on them.

some of you may remember, I'm in the process of fixing up a house (I'd hoped to be in it already)... so no xmas for us this year in the traditional sense. I did get a whole bunch of tools I'd wanted and that I needed for the work I'm doing there.

Once close to done, I am buying Invalid Link Removed for the wife that she's really wanted for a while. Our current bedroom is far too tiny for anything beyond bed and dressers... the new one is almost twice the size!
