What you getting your Mrs for Christmas?

Bought her an iPad, she wanted either that or a Coach purse... I went to the coach store and bought the cheapest thing I could find just so I could have the gift box big enough for the iPad.

She got me a used Schecter Omen 8 and some other stuff thats already wrapped up.

I'll know when she tells me.
The one thing I know she wants isn't in the budget so I'm kind of screwed.
I can't get her clothes because "I'm not buying clothes until I lose some weight".
Don't you love that line?
I love her regardless, but I've been hearing that for five years.

and also, purely for comedy value (I'm going to claim it's from one of the cats):

Well, it has 4 strings, hasn't it?

My soon-to-be Mrs. is not getting much this year, just some clothes and perfume. We are in the process of moving her almost 400 miles, so we are getting rid of things instead of acquiring more, although she may be getting a four-poster bed. That depends on whether or not I can get rid of my waterbed (hey, I'm old).

I asked her what she wanted and she said she wanted a grappling hook. So I went into the machine shop yesterday, drew one up in solidworks, uploaded parts to waterjet, drilled some holes, and voila! Grappling hook christmas present is ready!

Funny/ thoughtful gifts are always better :)

I might also get her some pj's or something else softer than a metal grappling hook :P

My wife is a Disney freak. She asked me to get her the Toy Story movie box set, and told me I could find it on Amazon. Two days after we spoke, it magically arrived. She ordered it for herself.... so my work is done.

Actually, she loves opening presents, so I always get her a bunch of little things and hide them all over under the tree. Mostly puzzles and games. The Rubik's Cube keychain went over well last year, as well as the Rocko's Modern Life t-shirt from Hot Topic.

I'm still shopping.
