Obeyer. I like my bass to gently but firmly support my right man-teat.
I'm a middle guy. But I know folk, country, rock, Ramones, some jazz, and I was an obeyer to my bass teacher!
Although I don't play like this, I always liked Dee Dee's style....

I had always thought Wojtec was wearing his a bit high until I tried it myself and experienced how much easier dead accurate slapping is that way.

And I used to call one of my good bass buddies, who is a fully committed "low slinger", a poser but he always got the chicks so it really seemed to work for him.
