Rewatching the Nightmare on Elm Street movies these days. Man, when it comes to 80s slasher icons, Freddy rules. The movies get increasingly more bizarre, which is just my jam. Incredible effects work too. In comparison, peeps like Chucky or Jason were pretty tame.

Rewatching the Nightmare on Elm Street movies these days. Man, when it comes to 80s slasher icons, Freddy rules. The movies get increasingly more bizarre, which is just my jam. Incredible effects work too. In comparison, peeps like Chucky or Jason were pretty tame.

I remember before Chucky, it was Michael/Jason/Freddy. I was never a fan of the Halloween or Friday the 13th series of movies, but I've always liked the Nightmare on Elm Street series of movies.

"Trouble Man" - a 1972 blaxploitation movie starring Robert Hooks.

It got lost in the shuffle with "Shaft" and "Super Fly" becoming such big hits, but "Trouble Man" is right up there with them.
