Just finished "Beef" last night. To say that there are cringe worthy moments would be an understatement. In the end, we liked it.
Also up to date on Succession and really enjoy that show.

I can appreciate a slow movie. I think Pig with Nicholas cage is one of the best movies to come out in the last few years and it's super slow.

Speaking of slow movies - I really like "A Hidden Life":

Set in WWII Austria. The way their neighbors slowly but surely turned on them...well, I won't give too much of it away for those who haven't seen it, but the tension and sense of dread build without melodramatic overacting or a big, sweeping, overly dramatic musical score. A worthwhile movie if you just want to settle in and watch a good movie without being overwhelmed by it.

I’ve been working my way through the whole box set and just finished the final season last night. IMO it’s probably the best sitcom ever made. The cast is fantastic and the writing is so sharp. “Hey now!”

Just finished episode 8....Interesting show..Amy Wong is captivating.
Did not know she was an actor, as well as a comedian

Blackberry is a solid movie. It starts off kind of fun and goofy with a lot of nostalgic 90s tech references and then it just becomes a really compelling and suspenseful drama. It was very good.

The show was really good overall... there was just one detail different from the book that really set me off. I won't spoil it though until you finish the show.

Watched "12 o'Clock High" this morning. I meant to just have it on in the background while starting the day, but sat and watched it again. Hadn't seen it in decades, and still enjoyed it.

When I got higher up in rank (Navy), I had to attend leadership and management courses. One course had a showing of that movie so we could identify the different leadership styles portrayed. Entertaining training aid LOL.

I'm watching the Kingsman and I'm so bored. This movie starts out with an unlikeable character and then puts him through precarious situations. Am I meant to like him? I don't like him. Samuel L. Jackson is evil Elon Musk. This is a bad movie. I don't think I can finish it.

I really enjoyed it. Which was expected, since David Simon and Ed Burns were the writers. They've written some of my favorite shows (the Wire, eg.)

The show was really good overall... there was just one detail different from the book that really set me off. I won't spoil it though until you finish the show.

I read the book about 10 years ago, so there was enough distance between that and watching the show that I didn't pick up on any differences.
