If they mine the other two books (Shift and Dust) this could go on a long time

It's fantastic. I love how they're telling the story. I love the look of the silo. Rebecca Ferguson's and Jorah Mormont's American accents are really bad. Only downside. But it's great.

Ep. 3 was a bit hard to watch. Must...ignore...obvious...breaking of the laws of physics.
The books stretched reality some, but those fixin' the generator scenes were painful.

At our son's request, we watched "American Psycho" over the weekend. Apparently my wife hadn't seen the entire movie, either. As twisted as it is, I laughed a lot because of how ridiculous some of the characters and situations are.

At our son's request, we watched "American Psycho" over the weekend. Apparently my wife hadn't seen the entire movie, either. As twisted as it is, I laughed a lot because of how ridiculous some of the characters and situations are.

It gets better on repeat viewings. Lots of subtleties. The book is great. They made a sequel to the movie with Mila Kunis that's horrendous.

yea.. I worked on gas turbines and no way would they run without a casing.
that and watching a pressure gage while they talk about temperature was cringy... but if thats all i got to bitch about im good.

Recently watched "The Maltese Falcon." It's actually the first Humphrey Bogart movie I've ever seen. I was thoroughly entertained.

Now, here comes one of the most "DUH!" statements of all time: Humphrey Bogart was a true movie star. In "The Maltese Falson," he is about as charismatic as anyone I've seen on screen. I've seen other stars from that era, and I've often been unimpressed. Not so with Bogie.
