They're stretching things too much. The recent episode was almost all filler. These books aren't long. I'm concerned they're gonna fill the season with non-original filler and try to get as many seasons out of each book as ratings allow. If they do that, the show will get cancelled before it ever gets a chance to tell the whole story. I just reread all the books and they're so good. Such a great story. I hope I'm wrong about the direction it looks like the show is going.Yes, lovin' Silo.
Ep. 3 was a bit hard to watch. Must...ignore...obvious...breaking of the laws of physics.
The books stretched reality some, but those fixin' the generator scenes were painful.
Agree completely. I reread Wool last week and still don't know what's going to happen when I watch the show. I don't mind a little drift from a book to make it work for TV, but they are losing the intensity here. The books move on at a good pace. I would think one long season for each book of the trilogy would keep it tight and still tell the important parts of the story. The Expanse had the right idea.

I loved every single minute of it, and I cried a few different times.
Watching the series of movies, I became emotionally attached to the characters for various reasons. It seemed kind of weird for that to happen to me in a super hero movie, but it sure did. In some of the extra features from the film, that angle was discussed and I could certainly relate.
If this is indeed it, I feel good about how it all ended, but I'm sad still.

We saw it a couple weekends ago. I have to say I wasn't overly enamored with it, I was hoping for more/better as I really liked the first two.
I thought it was really good too. Best film to come out of the MCU since Endgame in my opinion.
I saw the first one after hearing a lot of praise, and I could not follow what was happening at all. This has happened to me more than once with movies based on comics or books, and it drives me nuts when someone says "yeah, you really need to read the book/comic before you see it."
I've always felt that movies or TV shows based on something else should stand on their own and not require familiarity with the source material, but that's just me.
I made it about 40 minutes into Fast and Furious 17, The Furiousest. I know it's not a real movie. They're not presenting it as an actual movie. They know that. The audience knows that. But this one was rough. The CGI was bad. Vin Diesel kept trying to act. It wasn't good.
Watching High Water (Netflix), a Polish slow burner drama mini series set around the 1997 Wroclaw flood. Not your cliche American disaster movie by a long shot.
We also watched Sputnik last night. It's a Russian sci-fi film of the Alien subgenre. Not great, but not bad. It's interesting how critical current Russian film makers are of the Soviet era.

I'm with you. In my case, I watch the movie/TV show because I don't want to read the book.

Vin Diesel's best role was Groot, because he only had one line that he repeats over and over.
I think of him as more of a personality/box office draw than an actor...same for Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
This, though Johnson was great in Moana.

Actually, he was fun in both Jumanji movies. Showed a leeeeeettle range in them.
