I've read the book quite a while ago and don't remember many details, but I think the zombies there mostly weren't villains at all. A protagonist turned out to be the biggest villain in the end.

Check out THE LAST MAN ON EARTH from 1964 starring Vincent Price. It’s hands down my favorite of the 3. I did a triple feature when COVID-19 first became a thing & was off work.

Will Smith’s I AM LEGEND would be the 3rd go at a film adaptation of the 1954 book by Richard Matheson, the only film that used the actual title of the novel.

We saw "Five Nights at Freddy's" yesterday at our son's request (he played the video game when he was younger). It was much better than I expected. A solid story and good acting by Josh Hutcherson. Matthew Lillard was...well, Matthew Lillard. It was slow in spots, but it wasn't a mindless slasher flick.
Been hitting up short story videos on YouTube tonite. I do this on occasion, 'cause there's really alot of excellent, well told and shot, short movies out there. There are some stinkers, too LOL
Most tonite were sci-fi, but not completely. Saw some known actors, too.

IMO the first season beat around the bush too much with "which one is it" and "will they/won't they get convinced/haul arse/fall prey to the Darkness/develop abilities/just open their confounded mouth and tell their lifelong friends what's happening to them".Started it, kinda ran out interest.Season Two
Also IMO, the second is leaps and bounds better. More action, intrigue, stakes, character development.
I'm just two episodes in, but yeah, there's a LOT going on.
Watched "The Batman" (2022) for a second time (Amazon Prime). Just really liked that movie, especially exploring the detective side of Batman.
Finally finished the latest season of "Miracle Workers" (Cable TV). Steve Buscemi, Daniel Radcliffe, and recurring actors, do it well. Quirky goodness.
Watched "The Best Years of Our Lives" (1946). Excellent movie, IMO. About 3 servicemen from different services and ranks returning home after the war ended and having to readjust to civilian life and societal changes.
A lazy Veterans Day today, 'cause we got our flu and Covid shots yesterday. Slowed us down a bit...we're old LOL.
To former and active military reading this, thank you for serving. I stood my last watch in 1996 after 20 years. I respect those who served beyond me and are currently serving. Also commemorating on or around today are Great Britain, France, Australia and Canada.
Watching now on YouTube, "The Time of Their Lives" (1946). Lou Costello and a woman are ghosts from the civil war. Abbot is a current day descendant of Lou. Cute, silly movie, loved it as a kid.
