Whatcha watching?

Fury. Ultraviolent WWII movie about a tank crew. Entertaining. Very gory.

A lot I liked about that movie. Great production design, much more accurate than typical vehicles (not least the Bovington Tiger "131"), equipment and costuming. Everything appropriately dirty. Nice use of vintage lenses. But the final act was beyond stupid -
that so many SS would not know how to flank and knock out a lone and already disabled tank (and not use the anti-tank weapons they were shown with prior).
Pity as it was so good up to that point but really devolved.

I don't think it ultimately will - I think the mine pollution is causing hallucinations, the connections to the Yellow King cult from season 1 are definitely there, so who knows where it's going to lead. Personally, I have no problem with there being a large supernatural component, it's entertaining.

This is exactly my plan. I figured I was the last person who hadn't seen the show. I watched Season 1 last week and enjoyed it. After getting a similar recommendation, I have started Season 4 and am up to date. Pretty good so far. I may try Season 3 after, but I have not heard anyone say anything good at all about Season 2.

The previews alone made Argylle look terrible, much as I love Sam Rockwell.
I love Sam Rockwell and he was not good. He was bored and phoning it in. I don't think he really understood what was happening from scene to scene. He dances in every movie he's in and he always manages to work it in at an opportune moment where it makes sense. In this one he says "hey look I'm gonna dance" and he does a little dance. Terrible movie.

The Free World.
I caught part of this movie a few months ago and enjoyed what I got to see. This morning I finally found it again and got to watch it from the start. It's not spectacular or winning any awards, but I found the characters and storyline engaging.
