Whatcha watching?

Fargo

I don’t understand why Season 3 gets dumped on. Whilst I prefer Season 2 more, it’s still great TV

It also contains the greatest homage scene of all time in a masterclass of writing, mood and casting

For me, the story was poorly written, and the twin/dual role thing for Ewan McGregor's character felt like a gimmick. Also, I got tired fast of the main bad guy's endless incomprehensible speeches.

The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is really, really good. Good story. Good action. Good sound and cinematography. Good acting. Good story. Solid, well made movie. I had no idea what it was going into it. I'm gonna see it again.

Huh. I thought it was effing awful. Nothing but cheese, and not good cheese. Way too much eye-winking, zero stakes.

I know exactly what you mean but it didn't bother me. So much depends on mood and I was in whatever mood it takes for me to enjoy something like this.

I didn't realize till after watching it that it's a Guy Ritchie movie. I think it could've worked as a more serious drama. The story was solid and the actors were good.

Just Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch. Haven't cared for any of his other flicks. I kind of feel like he hit a formula and everything since then has about as deep an empty bird bath and way too clever. Kind of like looking at Kate Moss's face - beautiful and completely empty.

I haven’t liked any of his movies. Saw the early ones and gave up after that. All style, no substance.
