A Quiet Place 3 stunk. This is the second movie I've seen in a row that didn't have a story. Remember what you saw in the trailer? That's the movie. The aliens attack. The lady goes from location to location with her cat. The movie ends.
I do. Three movies a week for $25 a month. I like the movie theater experience. The big screen and the big sound. But most movies suck. I can think of maybe three or four movies in the last several years that have been at least good.I hope you have one of those monthly movie passes. Paying full price for all those stinkers has to get expensive.
I’ve always liked European horror ever since La Cabina terrified me as a kid on holiday in Spain.

Ah, so that is how spoilers are shown now, as a grey blurred out splotch?
turtles all the way down
So it wasn't just me. I'll add that it was...um...less than subtle with its politics. We watched "Trigger Warning" on Netflix last weekend. It's really bad. Terrible cinematography, script, editing, acting... everything. If not for Jessica Alba I wouldn't have bothered.
I really want to learn some of the new features. But I see things keep appearing and disappearing. Might just wait a bit till things settle down.Ah, so that is how spoilers are shown now, as a grey blurred out splotch?
Watched 3 movies recently, all had actor Peter Lorre in them LOL. Wasn't intentional.
You'll Find Out (1940) is a vehicle for big-band leader and entertainer Kay Kyser. Comedy/Crime with Boris Karloff, Bela Lugosi, Peter Lorre and comedian/coronet player Ish Kabibble. I just like saying his name LOL. Light, fun, goofy entertainment.
The Story of Mankind (1957) headed up by Vincent Price as the devil (Mr. Scratch) having a discussion with The Spirit of Man about mankind's invention of the hydrogen bomb. Fantasy/Drama. Many well known stars in various vignettes set in different time periods of history. Peter Lorre played Nero.
This next one floored me as to how good an actor Peter Lorre was. M (1931), Crime/Mystery about a child killer in a German town that police couldn't catch. The criminal elements in town also joined in the hunt, but unknown to the police and for their own reasons. German language film (Lorre already spoke German and Hungarian), English subtitles. Brilliant film, in my opinion.
If you like German expressionist films, you might enjoy this.
Yeah, a couple of times I thought, “Well THAT sounds familiar.”So it wasn't just me. I'll add that it was...um...less than subtle with its politics.
And a stone classic.M is phenomenal.
Indeed.Yeah, a couple of times I thought, “Well THAT sounds familiar.”
