The NBA All-Star Legends Brunch.

Loaded with old-school class, grace, dignity, sentimentality, gentle humor, and classic highlights. I expect it to be my favorite part of NBA All-Star Weekend when all is said and done. And Ernie Johnson is simply one of the best people on television.

"Legends and Lies: The Real Lone Ranger"

A documentary about deputy U.S. Marshall Bass Reeves, one of the greatest lawmen in American history. He is considered to be the inspiration for the Lone Ranger character. He also happened to be a black man.

It's a true story that every American should know.

There is what Taylor Sheridan describes as a 10 hour movie, telling the story of Bass Reeves. It is the way he describes the spinoffs of Yellowstone as they are series, but are only as many episodes as needed to tell the story and are not intended to be a continuing franchise. I’ve got the Bass Reeves story on my list but at the rate I’m watching TV these days it may be fall before I get a roundtoit. I’m pretty sure it’s available on Peacock+.

Apple Cider Vinegar on Netflix is great. Inspired by true events, it revolves around 2 young women in the "wellness" industry that are scamming people. Very well done, and the lead actors are both killing it. Highly recommend.

"Abbey Road: If These Walls Could Sing" on Disney+. I learned new stuff about the studio, and Mary McCartney didn't focus on the Beatles although they were obviously prominent.

Viewed all of the Oscar-nominated animated shorts last night. Nothing outstanding this year.

Always late to any party, but we started binge-watching the original NCIS about a year or so ago, and are now running through all 20+ seasons a second time. Never been a big Mark Harmon fan, but I gotta admit, he plays Gibbs like no other could. And the story lines are consistently very good.

We gave some of the other NCIS spinoffs a try...liked the New Orleans version until it got too preachy. Tried the Los Angeles, Hawaii, and Sydney versions...decent, but just ain't the same. Started recording Origins but haven't watched any episodes yet.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.
I enjoyed it, quite a bit. I thought the final scene was well done and felt like a great way to end if there's never again one of these movies.
It felt more like Raiders of the Lost Ark to me than any of the other movies. I'd watch it again given the opportunity to do so and I had the time.
