I'm guessing that is a vain hope, but maybe it will be enjoyable enough.

Over the weekend we watched "Unfrosted". It has a great cast and is really enjoyable if you take it for what it is. The movie certainly doesn't take itself seriously, which is what makes it work.

Mickey 17 was almost great. It was about 30 minutes too long. I like Robert Pattinson, but he got annoying in this. Still very good.

I wish they went more into the sci fi of it. More about the aliens and their culture.

What bothered me the most was they didn't address why Mickey 18 was so drastically different than 17. Different voice. More aggressive. They did nothing to establish difference between the clones except one line about #3 being whiney and #8 being stupid but #18 was like a different person and it wasn't justified in the story.

Started The Pitt on Max. First 2 eps were very good. Medical dramas usually don't interest me, but this one is tense, anxiety-ridden, and realistically written as far as I can tell.

Loved the new Daredevil's first two episodes. Episode 3 felt a little underwhelming to me and kind of reminded me of some awkward plot points from Daredevil Season 2. Really excited to see this season develop, though.

Just watched Adolescence on Netflix. So well done. All the acting is top level but the performance by the kid in the main role is absolutely incredible. Sort of like watching some of the wunderkind videos of 12 year old bass players with incredible chops but he has such depth, range and 'maturity' to the performance.

That kid is going places. Any seasoned adult actor would be proud of that performance.

As I noted in the Star Trek thread, I just finished Deep Space Nine (in entirety) and *really* liked it. How does Babylon 5 compare? I've never seen any of it so I'd be diving in without knowing anything about it except that some people compare it favorably with DS9.

The guy who created it thinks DS9 ripped him off. They have their similarities. Babylon 5 is great. It's basically one continuous story from beginning to end, with wild tangents with some tv movies. It's more epic with more colorful characters that you get to really know well.
