Whatcha watching?

Not sure if this one has been mentioned, but The Lowdown on Hulu/FX is good. Ethan Hawke is great in the lead.
We just finished that show. SO good. My wife is the director of sales for a downtown Tulsa hotel, and she hosts many TV and film crews, including the ones for that show. The scene in the last episode where Donald Washberg and Trip Keating are having their conversation was shot in the alley behind her hotel. Living in Tulsa, we recognized a lot of the places in the show.

We just started "Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking" the other night. What these food artists create in just six hours from mostly edible stuff is astounding.
If you like those kinds of shows, the competition show between Buddy Valastro and Duff Goldman, Buddy vs Duff, is fun to watch. The wife and I dig it.

I may be the only one who hasn't seen it, but I started season 1 of Peaky Blinders.
I have no idea what that show is, never heard of it until now.
I'm still enjoying episodes of NYPD Blue. Knee deep in season three now with Jimmy Smits. I think the show started to lose it's edge after Smits left. I thought the kid from Silver Spoons was no good, and then it got worse when Zack from Saved By The Bell showed up. Talk about a guy frozen in a role, at least for me.
Still though, Sipowocz carried the show despite those shady partners.

Peaky Blinders is a post WWI period piece set in Birmingham England. Organized crime + IRA + communists + crooked cops = lots of violence. Cillian Murphy is the lead.

I loved NYPD Blue and before than Hill Street Blues. Two of the best cop shows ever.

FYI, youtube premium seems to be offering one month free trials. Premium is great. No ads and you can play stuff on your phone with the screen off without a workaround. I don't want it badly enough to pay $14 a month, but I'll take one for free.

Recently started the series American Gods on Tubi. Only in 1st season (of 3), episode 5. Diggin' it so far. I read it was originally from Starz, but it's now free on a few streaming apps.

Just started the series Talamasca on AMC (cable TV). Only saw 1st episode, looks promising.

Considering watching Preacher and Orphan Black again afterwards, just to see if I'd enjoy them again. Loved 'em when we first watched 'em.
American Gods was great. Just know that it was canceled so no real ending IIRC. Orphan Black was a good one too.

I pay 7.99/mo with my student discount. I wasn't lying when I signed up but they didn't ask for any evidence and they haven't asked for any since. Just sayin. I use YT over Spotify for music so it's already worth it for me but I think that's cheaper. And if someone from YT is reading this I consider myself a student for life so be cool.

So, I read your post the other day and was kinda bummed, but that's cool, 'cause I was really enjoying the subject matter and how the series was being presented.

I finished the first season this morning. Yay!! Onward to the start second season 'cause it's a lazy morning! I'm ready to kick back with another cup of joe. Except...only the first season was free (Tubi and Amazon Prime). 2nd and 3rd weren't. Well FUUUU......!

Back in my aviation days, we had a phrase for an aircraft speeding down the runway for takeoff, but has an emergency and must stop. "High speed abort". I feel like that's what happened this morning LOL

Since the show was cancelled, vice a tidy ending, I'm not gonna pay to see the final 2 seasons. Found a Wiki regarding that show and will read my way thru each episode of the remaining seasons.
