Barge concepts vfb-2 (bog standard) ARRIVED. 3.5 weeks shipping time to Taiwan.
Arrived in what can only be described as ghetto packaging with no manual. instructions... alright I don't need them, but I like reading the "congratulations on purchasing your new life enhancing (insert pedal of choice)....."
also the output jack socket needed tightening and "remoulding" before I could get any sound to come out.
All gas pains permanently

) cured. makes the fulltone bassdrive RAWK in a biamp cheating way, the feedback loop makes delays and filters/synths go bananas... ...still not mastered the art of using that side of it "musically" though..
A heartil recommended pedal at a very good price. 'Just ask them to package it nicely if ordering from overseas.

Still waiting on the Tonefactor Huckleberry, Nebula and 442.
I'm off tomorrow with Cash to pick up a mint used RV-3 at my local shop. After messing around with it my last few entries into the store, I've finally decided that I could put it to use.
I imagine that in not too long, it will find its way into AnaLog.Man's hands for a Hi-Cut modification, as sometimes the delays do get to be a bit harsh to my ears (its mainly going to be used for Reverb/Light Delays anyway. Serious delay will come later on). I just don't have the cash to dish out for seperate DigiReverb and Analouge Delay boxes, so why not get the next best thing in a single board space?

I have the usual suspects rolling in... more compressors... 
Three arrived today, an interesting mix:
1) my old Citrus Squeeze on loan for the big OS shootout
2) a Behringer MDX 1600, just in the spirit of fairness
3) Safe Sound P1, a semi-high-end unit from the UK
I find this sort of thing fun- will the one I liked a couple years ago still sound good to me? Will the cheap easy-to-bag one pleasantly surprise me and exceed my expectations, or do you just get what you pay for? Will the expensive boutique one be a disappointment, or will it finally beat the shortcomings of my previous favorites?
