Ingredients are:
Tascam recorder with clamps,
Wind screen,
Backup battery pack,
A/C cord,
2 Shure microphones,
Microphone Cables.
Power strip,
Spare speaker cables,
Remote control for lights,
Spare Instrument cable,
Wireless modules for my bass
Spare set of strings.
Assorted plugs

My amp (Mesa Subway D800) fits in my gig bag, in it's case non the less.
Amp power cable and speakon cable (plus a backup!)
Multiple 1/4" cables
Nice fold up stand
Tuning pedal and adapter
Extension cord
Guitar strap, plus a backup

I think that's it!

I have my equipment down to one trip from the car. My bass case in one hand, my cab in the other (Barefaced Super Compact, nice and light!), and my gig bag over the shoulder

A buncha' stuff I'll probably never need, as long as I always keep it in there. FWIW, it's a padded Gator mixer bag I got outta' the TB Classifieds... fits exactly the same footprint as my Mesa Walkabout Scout 15 too, making it totally stack-able in the car. There's extra power strips, cables, batteries, hand towels, gaffer's tape, wall-warts, preamps, DI boxes, extra mics, instrument cables, patch cables, adapters... I don't even know for sure what else. 20 lbs of something.

Hey Bill -
@BassCliff is simply being a good Boy Scout. Although Cliff plays with no-one but Pros, having a set up drum sticks which weigh nothing and take up no space has probably saved a gig at some time in his long history. I used to carry a few extra sets of drum sticks as backup for one of Nick's bands 10-12 years ago. I'm glad I had these on more than one occasion.

After a whole lot of trial and error I found the perfect gig bag; a repurposed diaper bag I found on Craigslist for $20. In the front pockets I have my pedal tuner, tuner cable, darts case (we play a lot of bars), extra batteries, multi-tool, a trusty Sennheiser e945, a ground plug, and an extra guitar strap for whomever forgot theirs that day. The big pocket holds a Hercules folding stand, 2 instrument cables, a mic cable, an extension cord with 3 inputs, an 8 oz. flask (some bars are better than others), a little flashlight, a pack of strings and an extra IEC power cable.

Everything lives in there full time so I never have to go searching for my gear.

One thing I always do. I wrap up together an instrument cable, mic cable, power cable, and speaker cable (Velcro strap). I always have two sets of them.

Nothing in mine but a spare 30 ft coil cable.

Everything else I would take to a gig is in a large plastic tool box. Kind of a whole band survival kit.

Guitarist breaks the string and doesn't have spares I've got both electric and acoustic sets and several sizes. Microphone goes out I got that covered. Etc.

At least one of commonly used cables and various adaptors, batteries...? It’s a bunch of random stuff in a backpack and it’s surprising how often I have the exact doohickey we need in there.

Two bulging briefcases. I really need to upgrade to something better, but I’m too cheap and lazy. Power/speaker/instrument cables. Three mics that don’t work. (Another thing that needs to be addressed.) Ancient tuner. Disintegrating chord/lyric papers from the 80’s. Rosin. Old strings that I wouldn’t have the patience to change on the fly anyway. Towels. Unused prophylactic. (My life story.) several whistles and nose flutes.
It’s the musical equivalent of a junk drawer.
