I would like an unlined fretless 6. 35" scale because I like a challenge.

Very tempted and for the same reason but I will probably start with a 34" 4 string unlined. Maybe a Warwick.

I have low cost GAS. Looking to find either a cheapie Squier Bronco to hop up both visually and electronically or a cool one that has been done already. And of course there hasn't been one for sale in months.
In the past when GASing for a short scale all I've been able to find was beat up and/or hopped up Broncos. Now that I want one they're rare as hen's teeth.

Not having much GAS right now for a bass, I'm happy with what I have. The one thing I would want would be a bass VI, but I don't really have any urgent need for one and it's not a spending priority.

What IS a priority....

A lightweight but powerful combo I can use for jams and practice without lugging my 90 lb Ampeg combo around. I'm thinking a Carvin MB210, $349.

A wireless unit, once the band gets gigging again, so when the guitarist runs out into the audience with his I can run out and chase him around. Figuring a Line6 G50, around $400.

An acoustic guitar, since I sold my stratacoustic. Not my main instrument, but I do like to fool around on it, maybe do some songwriting, plus my wife and I play together sometimes. Thinking a Yamaha APX or CPX500-ii, $350.

And someday, when I'm rolling in lots more money than I am right now, a black Ric 4003 and a Carvin SB4000 in greenburst. But those are not top of the list for actual spending priorities atm.
