Not sure what the current market is, but if building something is on par with home prices, I'd guess double-triple what it would cost on average in the US.

Yeah, for sure. I got a quote to add another bay on my garage, making the 2-car garage into a 3-car. It was basically 12x24 and the quote was $50k......for a garage!!! 
I have plans for a 30x40 pole barn/garage some day. 2/3 of it will be for an actual garage, but 1/3 will be my shop.
That was as of 3 yrs ago. Things went off track and with prices the way they are now, I haven't even looked at what it might cost.
Hopefully in the next few years I can get it done.
At the very least, I'll build a 2x4 A frame, throw tarps over it and run an ext cord to it.

That's four times my 12'x14' shop. You better make sure your basses are 4 times as good as mine.
(Which, by the way, is totally doable.)

I don't see me getting a shop any time soon. My lot doesn't really have room for it, thus the reason I was gonna do an addition. With setbacks and so on, an outbuilding isn't really feasible. I mentioned looking for a different house with shop space and she looked at me like she was gonna kill me in my sleep and said something about "never moving again".
So I may be stuck with what I've got. In reality, I could shove that project car out and gain about 300 square feet of space. But it's been garaged for about 30 years and I really don't want to do that. But the day may come, the day may come. Just not today.
Our company has an office in The Philippines. Every time they talk about "this thing costs $1,000 pesos...." I'm like "What the?!?!?.....oh wait, that's like $50 American."

I've heard it would be even worse in New Zealand.
Real loonies. But that is for the whole structure 24x28 with a generous loft workshop and dormers for extra daylight.

I guess that cost makes sense if it is for the complete building. It's basically a small house so that doesn't seem that expensive to me.

Some setup, cleaning, fret leveling, electric issues. I am happy from that, but my builds must be stopped due to surgery of my heel tendon. But it has some pros. Sort tools for type job. My wife bring all what I need on kitchen table and I can do some useful

Yes this is surprise for me. But this is disease of this Asia made guitars. And when you count frets hardness (softness). I don't mirror polish this soft frets because it will catch oxide before owner took guitar back. And I have experience that it is harder crowning softer frets than hard ones. It will be crowned so fast, no time for mistakes. On harder you filing filing.......
Finally got my music corner finished.
That's a really cool organ!!! Really makes the music corner come alive!
This is what's on my workbench for today and likely tomorrow. And rumor has it another 18" on the way. I may or may not be too tired to do anything but stare at the boobtube come Sunday.
