"Empire" is the best overall both storyline and characterization.
But nothing can compare to the effect that the original "Star Wars" had on the entire world. Its impact on popular culture was profound and has yet to be equaled.

It's so very, very strange. So obviously created as a shameless exploitation of the huge popularity of the original movie, it features most of the original cast of Star Wars thrown into series of cobbled together scenes hopelessly held together by a trite and absurd plot. The whole thing limps from one scene to the next with cameos from known actors tossed into the mix willy-nilly (one scene is a parody of a TV cooking show featuring Harvey Corman as an incompetent, female, alien chef).

The show is sort of a comedy/variety show but it isn't funny. At least not intentionally. Dihann Carroll, Bea Arthur and Art Carney also make appearances. Musical appearances by Jefferson Starship. Juggling and circus acts are showcased. There is a 10 minute cartoon thrown in for good measure.

I enjoyed the Force Awakens the most I think. The hero being inexperienced is in every movie, the villain growing as a character at the same time as the hero is rare.

I liked Rogue One well enough. Good action movie.

The prequel movies were not the best. The 3rd one was pretty good.

The original trilogy was great, although the duel between Vader and old man Obi wan was dull. Even as a child, I knew that was about half the speed it needed to be.

I agree with all of this. I think the technology just wasn't good enough at the time to do a faster light saber duel and make it look right.

Big fan. No clear favorite. Dorky enough once made a video that was just back to back light saber battles from episodes 1-6. I thought the force awakens and rogue one were good. People bash SW movies but in all honesty I can't remember a single one of them that wasn't my favorite movjenthe year it came out. I do prefer the original trilogy but Im not one to bash the prequel trilogy too hard. None of the Star Wars movies are really known for having all the best actors. Theyre usually one or two really good actors in each one. I think the way each movie has pushed technology and movie making from using miniatures and costumes for the original series, actors having to film everything with green screens for the prequels and now sort of combining the two for the new ones. I don't watch Star Wars for the acting. I watch for the story, the special effects and so on.
