Total gear out is $6100.00. This was done by saving $25-50 dollars per pay check. Some pieces took a fair bit of time and others were just simple luck. I sell alot and trade some too. Other pieces I give to kids clubs so someone can enjoy making music or can practice with some good equipment!

'79 MusicMan Stingray: paid $1350; had neck refinished and refretted, otherwise stock. Maybe $1300.
'76 Rickenbacker 4001: Completely stock, no modifications, excellent conditions with very few nicks/scrapes - paid $650 in '94, maybe worth $1K now
'77 Rickenbacker 4001: In pieces at the moment, awaiting total rebuild; paid $500 for it.
'03 Ovation Acoustic Electric (bought in Korea): Lucky if I got $200-300 for it, but it was cheap and available.

'03 Ampeg SVT-IV Pro - try replacing one for less than $1300 new
Alembic SF-2 Superfilter: Even used ones are at least $300
Furman AR-1215 voltage regulator: bought new, $400.

If you count my upright... about $3500 in basses, $500 in acoustic instruments, $1500 in amps, $1000 in drums. To a gig, I've been known to carry about five large in gear, which is more than my car's worth.

To blue book, about near ziltch (as I primarily play my homebuild, which to me is priceless) but my SVT may be worth something....My Rivoli II is worth about 5 bills, my 76 loaner t-bird fetches some nice coin...my P special is worth like a 100 bucks, but I'll never sell it.
My effects (to me) are worth ooodles of coin.
