I'll go by what they cost me, but most of them are worth alot more

Basses: £50, $900 (say £550, it included a case), £275, £90, £175, + £110 on a case

Amps/cabs/effects/cables: £500, £750, £130, £150, £75, £50, £90

I count that to a total of ~£2995 ( ~$5,200)

damn . . . i had no idea it was that much

I think I have about $1200 total in bass gear. 2 Basses, 1 amp, 2 cabs. The deals are out there and you don't need to spend a lot of cash to have a nice instrument and make music.

Thousands of people in the US have Steinway pianos, but most of them still get pwnzorzd by 10 year old chinese boys with casios.

The categories are way too broad. Most people have rigs worth over $1000, but few have $10,000 rigs.

My current rig (if you don't count the Bose PAS I plug into) cost something like $3500. That's two basses, preamp, compressor, power amp, rack, cabinet, Bass Pod XT, misc. cables and a double stand.

You really don't care about the details, so I won't bother.

I hate to be cliche, but my bass collection is priceless. I've got a one-off Jazz bass made by the late Greg Curbow, and two pre-#100 Reverend Rumblefish, which are now out of production. And a Fender Precision that's worth $400 or so.
