What's Your Bass/Guitar's Name?

as soon as i read "Number 1", i realized i was hearing it in captain picard's voice

sometimes i feel like it would be cool to have instruments with names, but right now they're called the mikro, the jag, the ibanez, the ubass and so on...

Usually my bass is named after a girlfriend so the current girlfriend gets used to hearing that girlfriend's name being said around the house. Since I have 17 basses and 1 guitar, I have a lot of girlfriends. Saves you trouble in the long run. Cheers. ;^D. Here's a pic of the 'then' Naughty 11.

My Ibanez is Ringo as the prior owner had stuck an Apple sticker on the back. I looked up the Japanese word for apple... Ringo.

My white pretend P bass is Snowy, for obvious reasons... But Snowy Fleet was the drummer for 60s Aussie rock band The Easybeats.

So, first 2 basses named after 60s rock n roll drummers...hmmm?

Now I have a 60s Teisco built bass that needs som work, a tobacco burst with pickup and bridge covers.
So.... Charlie ?

Two basses I recently sold were a Schecter Stiletto Custom 6 bass - "my pride and joy". Also, a MIM Jazz bass, "my love affair".

My current basses, an Ibanez SR305F "My precious" and an MIA Std Precision... Well, no name for the P yet... still thinking.

Now that I play bass, I concentrate on music... lol

+1 on that, I call them what they are, well, once in a while I'll be walking over to one of my Basses and I'll say, all right, let me grab this Bad Boy and we'll start jammin.

I'm not really into naming guitars but I did give my main player a name. Priscilla the Fender P. It obviously needed to be a name that started with a P, and the P bass is as old-school rock n' roll as it gets, so I named it after Elvis' wife. Elvis' bass player Bill Black helped to pioneer the use of the P bass in music so I thought that it fit in that sense as well.

I named all my basses Bob so I wouldn't forget their names. I could have named them George but that's already been done.

1. The OP asked "WHAT DID YOU NAME YOUR BASS". My answer: I didn't name my bass; here's why. I didn't realize only those who name their basses could participate in the thread. Thanks for correcting me on that.
2. I thought this forum was for the exchange of ideas and opinions, even differing ones.
3. Did you ask this same question to the others in this thread who share my opinion and do not name their basses, or was it my specific post's wording that prompted your response?
4. I didn't realize I had to check with you before I posted.

Again, thanks for the correction; I'll try to do better in the future.
