I don't personify inanimate objects; anthropomorphism ain't my thing.
But hey, whatever floats your boat.
I call my jazz parts bass, "Jay", and my vintage Rivoli (bolt on neck) "Riv".

Ask and ye shall receive!These pics are pretty old. The case has a lot more stickers and battle scars on it now, but you get the idea of it's size. It's literally 5 ft long, and weighs over 50 lbs empty! It has taken a lot of abuse over the years, while keeping The Monster perfectly protected.

All of my basses have had the same name.
Bass.
Sometimes I'd get all fancy, and say something like, hey I think I'm going to play my white bass today... or, will you please pass me my black bass?
But yeah, Bass.
