I have "The Blonde" and "The Brunette". A Fender 50's Classic Precision in honey blonde and a tsb American Special Precision, sans the 'orrible grease bucket circuit.
The names seemed natural to me.

Plenty of people do it, but I never did. I drove a Volvo 240 for about a million years and I thought it should have a name but I could never bring myself to do it.

Back when I played a Ric our guitar player always wanted to call it "ricky". I hated that for some reason. Kinda like guys that have nicknames for their junk.

I used to call my white Lakland DJ "The Shark"..called my Fender jazz '77 "Grandpa" and my golden P bass "Goldie" but that was all. I had over 50 basses and I don't have habit "naming" them.
