I was marathoning Bewitched on Netflix when I bought my white blonde Mark Hoppus P bass, and as a result, the bass has been named Samantha (cause she's white and blonde!

I don't have a nickname for my basses but I have a nickname for people who name their basses.

I found that it was rather forced.
Now I just refer to them as my Wolf,my Tune,and my Washburn.

I name mine after Disney princesses because my wife absolutely loves that stuff.
It gets her interested and emotionally invested in my bass collection. For example:
Me: "Honey, this daphne blue Jazz bass with blonde maple neck kind of reminds me of Aurora's blue dress in Sleeping Beauty. If I owned it, I would name it Aurora."
Wife "Cool! How much is it and do you want it?"
Me:

If you get a road worn bass given to you it could be called "Money for nothing and chips for free."
I'm not looking for information about something specific, I'm just trying to make conversation. At this point in life most everything has been said and done but that doesn't mean there isn't anything left to say and do.
I don't have any nicknames for them, but "Electric Lady" was a special bass I had back in 1969, with a signature on the back of the body, from a very special guitarist from that time. The name just stuck with my favorite bass over the years.

Well done, sir! As an art student/illustrator/semi-pro animation nerd, I approve!
I managed to score my first MIA Jazz in a similar fashion. She's a professional artist, it's one of her favorite colors and I was able to get it for a greatly reduced cost!
