My day job is explained alongside anything I post...grateful to have a job that connects to my personal interests. When I'm not doing that I might be teaching privately, or doing music/art projects with a range of people from school kids to pro musicians.

I'm in charge of a bunch of managers who wrangle data scientists. I also have to make sure those managers play nice with others. And I have to make sure other people know how good our wrangled data scientists are so they'll pay us to solve their problems.

Industrial painter for a small manufacturer of HO scale model trains. Every once in a while, they let me out of the paint room and I get to print graphics.

Also: Currently I'm in logistical management, got training and about a year into Supply Chain management, but I'm moving into human resource for the next little while - hoping to make my way back into supply/transport, though, as that's what I've been trained in. Fun fact: I helped out with gov't responses to a few regional and national crises already, it feels great being the guy who has people's backs.

I manage a statewide program that administers and enforces labor law. Most notably, wages. Like.....making sure people are paid minimum wage and are paid an overtime rate for hours over forty per week. That's the simple explanation. Looking to retire, certainly within the next 1.5 years.

High school wood shop, CAD and architecture teacher. Also C-6 Cabinet and Millwork contractor. Overall it's been a pretty good gig. I work in a kick-ass shop, and started one of the first high school CAD labs in San Diego county. In fact, I work at the school I graduated from and I actually took my wood shop teachers job when he moved on to the dark side in admin. Completing year 30 this year and pulling the brass ring. I'm out. (What a crazy year to retire on! Wood shop on line? Yeah, right.) Building a shop on my property where I will continue to build stuff out of wood. Can't stop. It's in my programing.
