I'm a moldmaker. I build molds for plastic and die cast metal parts. A sample of work: vending machine parts (the dispensing arrangment and the front cover...that's a big mold), spray paint can nozzles, hardware for the windows in your house (latch, cam, lock, base, pivot, etc), the little trim piece around the keyless entry keypad on Ford vehicles, Honda oil cap, VW something or other, Cummins diesel engine emissions stuff, the top to a container of edible cannabis, and many more. Shops like ours make the tools that enable mass-production of plastic goods in society.

I was a Central Office Technician for a phone/cable/internet provider for 17 years. Within the last 6 months I was promoted to being the Video Engineer for the company.

Ranch hand. Well, technically I'm the ranch manager, but since I'm the only full-time employee that makes it a bit irrelevant. Also I drive snowplow for the DOT in the winter, but that's strictly an on-call situation, so it all depends on when the blizzards roll through. Oh yeah, I also write science fiction, but you can't call that a job, more of an obsession.
