What's your favorite brand?

For me ... It all depends on what type of music I’m playing.

I have Alembic, Musicman (both Ernie Ball and pre-Ernie Ball), Gibson, Fender, Rickenbacker, Guild, Sire, Sadowsky, Lakland, Martin, Godin, Pedulla, and Peavey basses. They’re all different, and it just depends on what I’m doing at the time.

However ....

My go to basses are the Laklands I own. I can cover just about any genre with them. Same goes for my Alembics, believe it or not.
 
I can think of one example, where Company A decided to pull one line of their product here in the USA, replacing it with something 'new and improved' for our consumption... yet, the original product is still produced and available overseas...
"New improved Coke" never got to here, AFAIK. I remember seeing the announcement on BBC and going "what are they thinking?"
