Whats your favorite Guitar amp?

I have no real experience with guitar amps, but through experimenting with Native Instruments' Guitar Rig, I've found that I seem to prefer the clean sounding Fender amp models, based on the Twin Reverb, along with the Roland JC-120 model. Not much for distorted sounds, me.

Also, at a recent gig, the guitarist I played with used a Twin Reverb. His playing, and his Stratocaster, never sounded better. Now I only wish that the he could buy one of those, to replace his not very good sounding Gibson Gold Tone stack...

Fender Bassman '59 reissue. Had one for years when I played guitar (sorry) in a rockabilly band. Tone to die for, stick a good quality overdrive in front of it and you've got an amp for everything except metal. Damned loud too and of course you can use it for bass!

My faves from guitarists I've played with: Fender Twin Reverb; Fender Hot Rod Deluxe. Another guitarist buddy has so many amps that I can't remember them all, but I think my fave was a vintage Fender Showman through an old 3x10 Fender cabinet. Unbelievable warm but cutting tone, and just unreal with a Fender Jaguar '62 RI.

For my purposes, I'd take a Mesa 5:25 combo with the 12" speaker. But I can't justify such an expensive guitar amp when my Roland Cube 60 is so darned good. Solid state doesn't get much better.

Also love the Vox AC30 and AC15.

For myself? My 65 Fender Deluxe Reverb, for the gtr player? Vox AC30. But there is this guy local walks in with a little Fender Pro? it's not an amp, It's a dimensional portal to LOUD! Where it comes from, no one knows........

I'm a big fan of Fender Blues Jr.s.

+1 I bought a used one with the vintage blode tolex/green circuit board (I don't remember which revision, sorry). The guitarist/songwriter I play with sure makes it sound good! I'm waiting for a Weber Champ clone kit to arrive so I can have some building fun and use it for his overdrive sound...

i like sovtek stuff. i have a killer midget 50 combo, and i love the mig 50's and mig 100's. the guitar player in my main band complains about it when we practice at my place, he plays a fender hot rod something-or-other, but the dude in my side project stoner rock band saw it and was thrilled- it does that kind of thing very well, and i love that kind of thing.
