What's Your 'Old Guy' Back Saver Rig?

I've been using my IP310 and my rack, and have decided that after my back surgery, it's a bigger pain to move, especially up and down the stairs.

I'm now looking to get a modular rig. Thus far, the leading candidate is a Genz Benz shuttle 6.0, run through the new Bergantino HT112ER and EX112ER cabs. If I think they're too heavy, I might go for the new AE cabs, but at half the weight of the IP310, moving them one at a time should not be a problem.

That's pretty much my "old guy back saver rig" right there.

When I'm really feeling my age (56) it's a 13 lb Eden WT-400 and a 38 lb Epifani UL-210. And either a 7.8 lb Stambaugh or a 7.2 lb Elrick. And sometimes, the Eden with my 57 lb Epi UL-410 for louder gigs. Maybe someone should start an 'Official Old Guys Back Saver Rig Club'. You start it...I'll take membership #2. :crying:

Edit: Even my rack bag rig with a pre amp/power amp weighs in at a mere 35 lbs.

Gk 1001 RB II, Schroeder 21012L. The cab is in the mid 50's, the head in shallow rack is in the mid 20's - and it will get seriously loud and deep ... it's about as small and light as I can go without compromising the low end beyond what I'm willing to accept. I do use a hand truck whenever possible just to save wear and tear on me and on the cab ...

Two Aggie GS112s and an Ashdown MAG300

RBI pre and Crown XTI 1000 in a Gator shallow rack,28 lbs and a DR Bass RX310 cab,52 lbs.Works great on any gig,big or small for me.If I want to go even lighter I can swap the RX310 for an RX115 with a Kappalite 3015 that weighs about 35 lbs and sounds really great for a 115 cab but I prefer the 310.I'm 56 and tend to buy my gear by weight also,it's great that such lightweight good sounding gear is out there.Seems like we don't have to sacrifice volume and sound quality for weight anymore.

I get in and out of a van about 200+ times a year. This is what I use:

The head is 13 pounds, and each cab weighs 45 (but feels like a lot less). Sounds fantastic.

Hot diggity, I want that rig in a bad way. I'm half way there, just need the cabs. In the meantime, my Walkabout in the combo serves as my junior rig. On a hand cart, it's faaabulous.
