What's your vacation/travel rig?

I took this little setup with me on a trip to the mountains with my wife for a week.

I'm really liking this little cab for low-volume practice! Even sounds great with the low B of this Ray35, and this one specifically has a REALLY great and tight B string. I am enjoying this li'l box o' bass more than I expected, and it is ridiculously light and easy to pack.

I also brought a Tele and I'm not gunna lie, this little combo sounds pretty cool with it. A little of the Aguilar dirt is nice with guitars, too!

I completely switch off during vacation and focus on family. I tend to carry an empty gigbag though just in case I make a local purchase to take home

If I was to play I'd probably just have an amplug and my headphones.

Whenever I play overseas I always take my sansamp bbdi. It's a lifesaver when the rigg sucks

The point of traveling is to do different things than I can accomplish in my living room or office. I never take a bass with me unless I have a paying gig lined up.

my wife and I like to rent a cabin or a house, in that case, I bring my Ampeg pf500, 115 LF cab, preamp and comprressor. When our daughter comes along, space is limited, so I bring my bass, a cable, and my pignose 40 watt. If we are staying in a hotel, then it's a bass, my darkglass preamp, and headphones. It all fits in my bass case.

Typically if I’m on vacation, I want something different than my every day life so I leave my bass at home.

But usually there is a music store somewhere nearby, so if I get an itch to play for a bit, I’ll go try out some basses.
