Calgary is 100 miles East of the Rockies and 200 North of the border. Fall's usually our best season. Winter started in Oct. last year, so we should get 2 months and then back to the winter slog.Where are you located? It has been a cool summer in the St. Louis area, but I don't see fall just yet.

Winnipeg to Calgary is meh...., Calgary to Vancouver is another story. You hit the mountains about 60 miles West, and then it's postcard scenery all the way to Vancouver. You might want to consider taking the ferry from Vancouver to Vancouver Island - then you can hit Victoria, Nanaimo, Campbell River. If you go West from Parksville, it's a beautiful drive to the towns of Ucluelet and Tofino (8 miles apart on Long Beach) on the West side of Vancouver Island. Done both the Vancouver and Vancouver Island road trips many times.I know where Calgary is. One summer I hope to drive from Winnipeg to Vancouver!

Thanks, corrected. I should maybe use left and right, terms I'm more familiar with! You mean west from Parksville![]()
The weather is amazing here! Granted, it's been a little rough recently as with "monsoon season" comes humid to go along with the 100+ temps. That seems to be over and it's back to low 100s with very low humidity, and constant sunshine.I need to find employment in Phoenix.

Too difficult an adjustment from 8 months of winter. The weather is amazing here! Granted, it's been a little rough recently as with "monsoon season" comes humid to go along with the 100+ temps. That seems to be over and it's back to low 100s with very low humidity, and constant sunshine.
Beautiful.
not to be a downer, but i don't get a summer, because i teach at a career college
I have never understood the going back to school before Labour Day thing. We always went back the first Tuesday of September.I'm back on the regular teaching schedule after Labor Day. Kids will be headed to school (two in college, two in public school) the week prior. I've had summer classes, two of them, but both online, so it's not the same as a regular campus schedule. The summer term runs right to the end of August anyway.
