When Does Your Summer End?

I really don't have a "summer" and haven't really had one since summer vacations no longer existed without school taking up the time between summers.

In my part of the Midwest, summer has consistently been below average with the exception of maybe two weeks.

I live in Phoenix. Summer never ends!

Sure it does, usually around November 18th.

School meetings started 2 weeks ago...kids last week.

Florissant MO? My old stomping grounds (sort of). You guys definitely have 4 seasons there, gosh I miss the turning of the leaves and the crisp and frosty air in the late fall. Also miss the pumpkin festival hokiness in the small towns, Octoberfest and the wineries. Good times!

Generally, if we can get to Halloween without snow, we've had a great autumn where I am. Summer however, abruptly ends early-mid September when temperatures drop from mid 20's to low teens.

The past few years have been pretty inconsistent though, with frost as early as August last year.

I'm in one of the neighboring districts. Florissant schools start sometime this week.

In S. Florida, when we get more than a couple of days of non-tropical head and humidity, usually mid-October. Officially, when hurricane season ends, November 30.

Then we get to freeze our butts off in the 70 degree temps.
