$18,314 in Aussie dollars and that’s before import costs and sales tax.Exactly what I was thinking.
That's $16,000 Canadian, plus whatever markup and taxes for crossing the border? Nope.
That’s a very nice looking bass. You did well. I have two that I made from Fijian mahogany which is plantation timber. Guilt free and beautiful.Speaking of building fso's out of recycled wood, I actually just finished a p bass made from a huge slab of sapele that was once my friends old kitchen island. I really want to know: How do they come up with these prices? We know it is not material, so what is it? Working hours? How? Did they not cut the wood but had it sanded into shape? Or is it a practical joke and under the fretboard they hid a check for $11,000?Twelve.
Thousand.
Dollar.
Pbass.
Being an old fiddle player, I actually like the concept behind this. Would like to see in a bass. I still couldn't buy it.The Fender Custom Shop has some really funny prices, just slightly funnier than others who build in the Fender style from Warmoth like parts.
30K for one of these. Really?
