Where can I get a medium scale bass?

I’ve got 6 SS and 5 LS but no medium scale basses.

Even though I don’t need another bass,
I’m GAS’N for a MS, but I have Squier pockets.

So where can I find a good MS on a Squier budget?

There's a Birdsong on CL right now for $825. That's not exactly Squier budget, but I'll keep an eye out.

Yeah Mac,

I saw that thread, but there's a lot of High Dollar, Custom Built, and discontinued basses on that list.
I'm looking for something budget, and hopefully not a J, P, or PJ, since I already have those.

I was not aware of the SRMD200K, and every now and then I see a Motion bass.
But I don't think I've ever seen an affordable MS on CL in my area.

I have nothing in this, and of course, it's not quite Squier prices, and it is a J bass which is not your preference - but it looks pretty schweet!

Shipping is expensive, but it aways is if you want a real for sure Fender Japan medium scaler.

That would be two birds/one stone GAS.
I want a Gretsch as well, but at the time I'm steering clear of anything except really good deals and budget (And I mean steal of a deal).

I almost bought a Junior Jet the other day, but I have 6 SS basses already.
But if I saw a 5123 for $300 tops, I'd grab it in a heartbeat.

Look for an Aria Pro II bass from the early 80s (made by Matsumoku), specifically the [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] and [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] models, which are all medium scale and very good quality.

The Eastwood Black Widow ($549; Black Widow Bass) is 32" and uses long-scale strings, which is a big bonus, because having to use medium-scale strings really limits your options in my experience.

I think this is the only one I've seen in my budget so far.
I don't own an Ibanez bass because there are so many models that I haven't taken the time to critique.

I mean how many SR's are there alone? I do own a SW25 practice amp which is solid.
I would buy this IB if I found one used.
