Where do you like your Jack?

Output Jack: Front, Side, Other

I don't like any jack positioning. Although I guess on the front of the bass works well for now, since all 4 have the jack on the front.

I don;t like it on the front because my cords occasionly get tangled in things and I don't want to crack the pickguard. I don;t like them on the side either.(both of my guitars have side mounted jacks). One day I brought my LP to school. The jack had a nice, tight grip on the cable. Stepped on the cord without realising it, ripped the entire output (including the little metal plate that holds it on)off the guitar.

I've done that with a Jazz bass before. Whole control plate came off.

It was doubly embarrassing because I was always making fun of how badly maintained our guitarist's guitars were. Then all of a sudden I'm standing there wearing a merkin of wires and he's wetting himself laughing.

Always on the front. I don't like feeling around the side for the hole, I like to see where I'm aiming and slip it in, first time, every time.

Also, resting my baby on her stand, or the floor, or wherever, the jack socket on the side means the lead gets in the way and may get bashed/bent/borked.

xx
