I would go woth the ATK or the Spector. The ATK will give you more of the Stingray tone. Great for RATM type stuff. Punchy! The Spector should offer you more versatility wiht the 2 PUs. I personally am more of an ATK guy.

For metal I'd get a Precision.
If I were you, playing metal and taking lessons I would go with the Ibanez. The difference is, and I know this is outside the scope of your original post, I would go with the SR605. The low B is a great thing...especially playing metal. I played one a couple of months ago, and it was really nice.
You could also, again with the suggestions outside of your list, what I consider to be the best bass for the buck- the Peavey Cirrus BXP.

I'd get the Ray34. I played a couple this weekend in Guitar Center and they were fabulous. Import or not, I honestly couldn't really tell a difference between US and Korean. And I'm anal.
Be specific as to which Ibanez you choose
Does nobody know anything about the sr600
