The really cheap Peavey's do. They sound pretty good too.

I prefer the term reasonably priced. I do really like it though. Very growly.

I second this! I have a Peavey Cirrus BXP (4-string) and I'm in love with it, it sounds great, suits my style, and is very comfortable! I could only afford the BXP series and when I tell people- including other bassists- that it was less than $300 used, they're always shocked. Granted, I think their original price clocked in between $500-$600 with the quilt-top tigereye finish being the most expensive (the one I have), but still...

Correct. Although the OP didn't mention the 12th fret...just longer upper horn. Into the 12th fret on a 24 fret bass is....fairly long.

A lot of basses have an upper horn up to the 12th fret, but which basses have a longer upperhorn?
I only know only one: the Maruszczyk Frog (which reaches close to the 11th fret), but I'm sure there must be more.

The way to "kill" neck dive is move the strap button closer to the head. IMO it looks really bad, but it is effective.

I'm assuming you were being sarcastic?

Moving the strap buttons only helps a little, and only on some basses. It does NOT "kill" neck dive in most cases. If your bass only tilts a few degrees too low, then sure--but not when your headstock is pointing downward.

Instead, another to check out is this discontinued 1990's Fender where the top button goes to the 11th fret:

It was made in J and PJ versions, and the long top horn got them the nickname "boner bass". You'll find more about them by searching on the word boner here on TB.
