I play drums, hand percussion (which is a different animal) and bass.

I play a little guitar and keyboards, on certain songs I can fool people into thinking I'm a guitarist or pianist. (I'm not.)

Well, nobody mentioned double bass?!?

I usually define myself as a double bass player who also plays bass guitar.
Started violin as a child, then for a little while I studied viola before switching to double bass.
I also studied some piano (for composition), and sometimes I play a little in jam session.
As a teenager of course I played guitar. Today, in a folk band I play in, sometimes it's neeeded some rhythm guitar along with accordeon, and it's up to me.
Played some guitar and keyboards on records, but in the studio it's easy to hide mistakes...
Then I play various stringed instruments, usually low pitched ones, like violone and bassetto di viola, in baroque and renaissance music, but sadly they are only borrowed...
Tried to learn blues harp, but it got stolen and I never bought another...
A little bit of alto saxophone around 20...
...what else...?

I started on trumpet about 3rd or 4th grade because grandpa and mom both played it, switched to trombone in 6th because I have a better ear for harmony. Played it through HS, received a scholarship to University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music (which I stupidly declined), and continued to play for a few more years. HS is also when I picked up the bass. Along the way I've goofed at drums and percussion, and picked up some minimal keyboard chops.

Started playing trumpet originally, still have both of them. Picked up bass second but it's definetly my main instrument now. Started playing keys a little at school and church and went on to own several keyboards currently own a Korg tr rack and have a couple midi controllers. My youngest brother played cello in school, my oldest brother was a drummer and played percussion in school also, and my wife owns a couple nice violins. So there's always been a nice variety of instruments around. I also own a clarinet that was my mothers when she was in school but it's in need of repair so I haven't played it.

I can play classical guitar. I've done so for almost 50 years. I've only ever handled an electric guitar once or twice and it felt totally alien. The gymnastics required for classical guitar help make bass a lot easier in the left hand but using nails on the bass's strings is still a problem. Using a pick is also alien. Right now I favor the left side of my index finger much like an upright player but it does limit speed. My kudos to Jamerson there.

I played trumpet as a kid and wasn't bad. I found my old trumpet at my folks' place not too long ago. What an effort to get it to produce an acceptable sound again! Based on that experience, I decided not to check it off on the list. Oofah.
