I am in an interesting spot. I am about to pickup a Spectorcore fretless that I have had my eye on for a year, but I am a huge fan of MarkBass and the same store has this combo on consignment. It would be a very nice upgrade over my GKMB200. I cannot have both.

Yeah I'm a strong believer in making the big investments in the instrument, because it's really the foundation of everything else. Amps I just beg or borrow whatever I can get my hands on for the gig, or otherwise if I have to skimp I just don't do it on the instrument.

With my Ampeg SCR DI-slash-headphone amp and cali 76 compressor I kind of don't need an amp anymore. I'd sell my old GK gig rig if it were ethical to do so, meaning I was confident it wouldnt blow all 4 cones out of the cab the first time the new owner turned it up.

OTOH, Markbass amps sure do sound good, IMHO.....

Markbass is not an upgrade cheese. Get the bass

The amp does hum noticeably with single coil, even when my Geddy has both pickups at the same volume, and my Geddy is perfectly quiet on other amps.

Well for me, speaking of amps, if I had to buy an amp tomorrow, truth be told I'd get the Fender Rumble 800 head. I know Fender is kind of yesterday's news on amps and they're not super well regarded, but that 800 Rumble head really sounds great. And the overdrive in it actually sounds decent too, without sounding like a dentist drill or a flatulent hippopotamus like most bass distortions do.

And then I'd just DIY my own cab from parts like I did in the good old days.....

Here's two at musician's friend. Pretty much half price of that amp new.

Depending on budget, you could get the mini mark head (search for it), push your fifteen for a while longer, and pickup the 210 for it later. Know what I mean?

Personally I’d upgrade the amp, maybe to a GK 210 cab

Firm believer in better amp > instrument. A great amp makes all of your basses better
