2020 has seen me weather some serious financial issues that arose out some issues that were beyond my control. The Pedulla was a casualty.

I am in an interesting spot. I am about to pickup a Spectorcore fretless that I have had my eye on for a year, but I am a huge fan of MarkBass and the same store has this combo on consignment. It would be a very nice upgrade over my GKMB200. I cannot have both.

I plan on buying a Boss Bass synthesizer pedal, and I love my Boss OC-3 Octave Pedal:Verily, the gear carousel doth spin randomly on a whim and a prayer........in that case I totally get the Spector.....but still methinks a top end pedal preamp might float your boat in a financially efficient manner![]()
I‘ve probably seen 15 of your playing videos including some fretless demos.
I’ve enjoyed all of them but I’ve never heard your bass voice so clearly. I think this one was made for you.
I pretty sure the things that happened to me last year won’t be factors this year.Verily, the gear carousel doth spin randomly on a whim and a prayer........in that case I totally get the Spector.....but still methinks a top end pedal preamp might float your boat in a financially efficient manner![]()
Thanks, but I do have a plan. How about you write these two items in on your calendar, today, and begin the mandatory 21 day cooling off period. Or a month, whatever.
Symptoms of GAS are not going to find relief on Talkbass. These guys are only going to enable you with your case of the “I wants”.
Be strong, and meanwhile, you can buy a new set of strings for each of the basses you already own.
Merry Christmas!
You know something I don’t. I enjoy looking at Sadowsky’s, but I don’t sit around dreaming about owning one anymore.Do not buy either. Seriously.
Save funds towards the Sadowsky that you KNOW you want.
That being said, our singer/BL has that same Markbass amp in her basement rehearsal space, so I use that rather than haul my own gear. But I actually like the sound I get from it and with a hard hitting drummer, a guitarist, and a guitar/keys player, and four of us sing, it’s never struggled. I like it.
