Which PG for my 'stang (no tort)

I have a Mustang in the same color scheme as in the OP, but if I were to change the pickguard I'd go BWB. Single ply looks cheap, Five layer is overkill and you'll barely be able to tell. As the bass ages and gets used the BWB will lose some of its shine and get more matte. If you start matte, depending on your playing style it can get more shiny in certain areas which doesn't look as nice. I can't picture what brushed looks like so that's out
*I* like tort plates...in general for colors (like the OP's) that lend themselves to such. I voted clear, and find a chrome or vintage brushed brass works great, as well 
I prefer the look of the old school masters, Tort.
I have tort on my 64' NOS White P-Bass with rosewood finger board. I have received many comments from people they like the look; I appreciate that but prefer it no matter what others think about it.
It is a wonderful world having so many choices in our lives.

But black? Really? To each his own I suppose, but that just looks awkward on a mustang to me, like the pg is too big for straight black (or bwb or bwbwb or (bwb)((wb)^n) ) haha lets see who can do some pg math

I think black is the most boring pickguard color there is. Aged white pearloid will look best (well, second to tort).
the tort looks the best with the rosewood board I think.

This is my first post and my first attempt at 'customizing' my Squier PJ bass. I got a clear pickguard for $25 from terrapinguitars.com. I put together a graphic design and printed out an 8 x 10 from Walmart for $3. And voila! custom pg! And I can change this out easily for another $3!
