...I believe this is an acute example of the pussification of musicians unable to cope with key changes, finding the pocket and staying in it and the proliferation of the always in place headstock clip-on tuner!

I would rather be forced to play having to bend into tune than have my guitar wearing that birth control device. My guitars would set fire to themselves if I went near them with a clip on tuner

I’ve never been a fan of “rhythm section”. Used in the sense “ I’m God’s gift to the world with my rad guitar skills, I just need a great rhythm section to back me up.” I’ll back you up when you throw away your spandex, you loser....

So...(oops, my bad -- just irritated a bunch of us) :D

...I can't tell if you're more irritated at the term "rhythm section" or a spandex wearing "rad guitarist". :roflmao:

Slang is the evolution of language. “Cut through the mix” used to be stated as “I want to be heard clearly in the band.” We do love our cool guy expressions, don’t we?
Just imagine if older generations had social media 50 years ago. There’d be countless posts complaining about how the kids—possibly some of the same people now in this thread—were incapable of going an entire sentence without saying “man.”;)

And the thread marches on! I remembered another annoyance that may be on it's way out (I hope) as I haven't heard it used lately: When someone uses the phrase shut up in the wrong context, such as " Hey Tom, the company is giving us all raises, followed by Tom saying, " Shut up, nuh uh, shut up"!

The "worst offender" that really gets "my" goat is referring to instruments as "she" (this also extends to ships and planes).
Also when someone asks about a certain specific thing and the comments always contain an alternative that is supposedly better. Which is what I just did, as my pet peeves is not on OP's list.

So I'll show myself out but not before saying once again that i don't understand what the carrot thing is about.

Can we insert "axe", as well?!
"Hey dude, she's a sweet axe!"
Obnoxious, no?

"This is the most beautiful SLICE of Rosewood that I have ever seen!"

....get out of the house more often.

"AAAAA Maple CAP"

...new for 2021 AAAAAA figured Maple. Also, it's a TOP and when you've seen a real nice piece of Maple, you've seen them all.

"LOADED"....or "partially loaded"...

I can say and enjoy knowing; "with Hipshot A bridge in Nickel, an EMG PA and a single ply .060 Black matte pickguard."

Details, details, details..."what's the weight?"
