Who’s Got Twins?

I forgot: Twin SVTs

I have two sets of twins. When I bought my first 5 string I wanted it to match my '79. Then I bought a white four string. Fender does not offer this color combo, so I bought two basses and switched out the parts. The one in the middle is the red headed stepchild (leftover parts).

I got twins times three.
They were only made 1979-82, so i have bought enough to last me my lifetime :D

My main player for years was a VP795. In fact, after I decided to switch to 5 strings and sold it locally, I contacted the fellow that bought it and tried to buy it back! I loved that bass.

I even bought the VS600 guitar to go with it (which I still have).

Ahem. Back on topic: No pic, but I USED to own a matched set of GWB basses. The original GWB1 fretted and it's fretless twin. Great basses. Couldn't get along with the ramp.

Finished neck and unfinished neck? What a pair!
Actually both are finished...One painted black and one clear gloss.

One is in standard tuning and the other lives most of the tine a half step down.

The only real twins are the black later model foundations... one is a lined fretless the maple fretboard is a fretted. The USA cirrus was adopted... and there's a early year sunburst that's the most recent addition to the family... I'll update the family picture in the near future. It is interesting to see the subtle differences of the basses through the years and I'm pretty sure the combined cost of all the foundations was something less than the Cirrus...and I paid $700 for the Cirrus.

Just picked up my first USA Peavey recently. 1993 Forum Plus that still had plastic on the pickguard. Very happy with this score and love the feel of this neck!
