Two more Alembics, fretted and fretless mates. Almost every detail is a direct copy... the Custom fretless was based on the Persuader 5-string, but has a an additional rotary Bass and Treble boost/cut function. The body pattern is borrowed/adapted from the 20th Anniversary Omega pattern, and shares a few curves from the 70's Series bass.

The bass on the right with a ramp(above)is the bass on the left in post #61.But now defretted.
The TWB on the left is my new fretted TWB.
The unlined fretless was sold back in Feb.

I never could get my Fender Standard P4 and Squier Vintage Modified P5 to sound enough alike, and I found myself generally preferring an onboard preamp anyway, so I converted them to matching Yamahas. BB734A with pickguard on your left; BB735A with pickguard removed on your right. Which look do you prefer?
On my way to getting what I originally wanted in the realm of Precision-ish things, I had a happy accident: turns out I like reverse-P/Js quite a bit, too, and I put together this pair for about the price of one (still very reasonably priced!) BB735A. 1988 Ibanez RD828 and 2021 RGB305. Very close in both looks and sounds.
… and, after four years of chasing, I no longer feel like I’m missing something among my basses!
On my way to getting what I originally wanted in the realm of Precision-ish things, I had a happy accident: turns out I like reverse-P/Js quite a bit, too, and I put together this pair for about the price of one (still very reasonably priced!) BB735A. 1988 Ibanez RD828 and 2021 RGB305. Very close in both looks and sounds.

My twins posted in #130 are more identical.
I have added a ramp to my new fretted TWB.(left)
It's made of polyethylene stock.
And the fretted has matching abalone/gold knobs.
