I'm really digging this, but don't know exactly why. It could be bitchen, perhaps.
I have that exact same model. Same finish.

Yeah, black basses annoy me. I've seen a few good deals on some Warwicks that were black and had to turn them down. I know it's just an aesthetics thing, but black basses remind me too much of the nu-metal nonsense that came out last decade. I know that's silly, but I yam what I yam.
I don't think that's silly. I think of my basses as not only musical instruments, but also works of art - I even display them on my walls. It's important to me that they play well and look good. I think a lot of bass players and guitarists are like that.

Normally, I find black basses a little boring. However, grabbed this little beauty a while back:
Even though it's a black bass...it has enough 'color" in it to keep me interested....

Anodized gold PG and maple board FTW.
Those two things can salvage ANY color in my book.

Are you kidding? Black is my favorite color for a bass! Black with a white guard or a brownish tort guard or red tort guard..................dude!..............."Once your go black, you never go back!"
Gotta black Jazz bass with a one ply white guard with a maple neck with simple black fret dot markers. It's my Fender Jazz Bass version of Eric Clapton's Strat named...........

Black is so formal and so sinister. Best color. Black means that you are not messing around when playing bass! Best color IMHO.

Ha, now that you put it that way I see those are exactly the reasons I don't want a black bass. Formal, sinister and serious are the last things I want to be on stage.

it is a BIG yes to me. i always wear black. and i dont get interest to have black mobile phone, or something. my first bass is a yamaha, it was black, repaint it white, and i got a jazz, it was black too, now it is in nature
